NOMISMATA at HNR 2026

Hi everyone,

Over the past few days I attended this conference,

https://historicalnetworkresearch.github.io/turin/program/

held at the University of Turin.

This is the abstract of the paper 6-B_donato_nomismata we presented together with Pim van Bree and Geert Kessels, the creators of NODEGOAT, the software platform on which I built NOMISMATA.

It was a very interesting and well-attended conference, focused on the application of Social Network Analysis (SNA) to the study of historical phenomena.

I think our presentation was very well received. The conference provided an excellent opportunity to introduce our project to an international audience of historians and archaeologists. I also made a few new contacts.

As we say in Italian, “if they’re roses, they’ll bloom”—in other words, we’ll see where these new connections lead.
